Pedagogical Documentation

Each project we support is more than an event, it’s a story. Our Pedagogical Documentation booklets bring that story to life, capturing student voices, educator reflections, and authentic learning moments. These artifacts not only celebrate achievement but also serve as evidence of lasting impact for schools and communities.

Challenge for Change

As part of Apple’s Challenge for Change, students identified issues they cared deeply about and worked collaboratively to design innovative solutions. They prototyped and refined their ideas before presenting powerful Passion Pitches to potential investors and stakeholders, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and the potential of youth to make meaningful change.

Self Portrait

Created by a high school student during a digital art exploration unit, this project layered photography with hand-drawn textures using Keynote’s drawing tools and animation. Students explored identity and style while remixing their own selfies with digital illustration techniques.

This Is Me: Name Badge Design

In this identity-focused activity, the Kindergarten class used Freeform to design a personalized name badge. With the freedom to choose colours, drawings, and symbols that represented who he is, this project encouraged early learners to explore digital tools while celebrating individuality. It’s a simple but powerful way to introduce self-expression through tech, even in the earliest years of learning.

Coding a Story

In this cross-curricular project, students use coding robots to retell and create stories that included financial decision-making elements, like budgeting, needs vs. wants, or saving to achieve a goal. As students program their robots to follow mapped paths, each stop revealed a challenge or choice connected to money management. This activity supported computational thinking, oral storytelling, and financial literacy expectations, all in one hands-on experience.

Digital Book

This collaborative story project entails writing, illustration, and narration by students using Keynote. The digital story blends digital art with storytelling, bringing an original characters to life through vibrant visuals and student-recorded narration. It’s a great opportunity for co-authored storytelling and how digital tools can amplify student voice in creative writing.

My Superhero Self

A storytelling-meets-art activity where young learners illustrated themselves as superheroes using crayon drawings, then added digital enhancements using iPad markup tools. This project celebrated confidence, self-image, and creative play.

As part of Apple’s Challenge for Change, students explored issues they cared about, designed creative solutions, and presented their ideas through Passion Pitches. With Beecon’s support in facilitation and documentation, their journey was captured and celebrated, showcasing student voice, innovation, and impact.
